This project consisted of nine 9ft tall sails installed outside the gallery space. Each sail connects to a green monofilament string and travels around the building through white pedestals to the front entrance. The strings then travel through the gallery space and connect to a long pedestal full of dirt at the base of the inside structure. From there, the strings attach to a corresponding row of panels built with strips of 1/4" MDF arranged in an oblique grid. As the sails outside catch the wind they translate into the inside piece and create a subtle grass-like/wheat-like movement of blowing in the breeze.
